    Company History

The company Träger Industriesoftware (TIS) was founded in 1992 by Dipl. Ing. (FH) Alois Träger. Under the management of Angelika Träger, Traeger Industry Components GmbH emerged from this in 1998 as a sales, consulting and support company (location: Etzenricht). With Alois Träger's solutions, the product portfolio was filled with innovative solutions from the very beginning. With Alois Träger as the idea generator, product designer and development initiator, hardware and software components were soon also developed at Traeger GmbH.

Trusted partner companies develop and produce the necessary hardware components for Traeger GmbH - always with the smart ideas and technical know-how of Alois Träger.

In 2012, Traeger GmbH moved into the office in Weiden. The new rooms give the development team good opportunities to develop its creativity.

  • Competences

In the meantime, Traeger GmbH is strongly positioned in the environment of Industry 4.0. This includes products such as PLC communication frameworks, OPC UA servers, OPC UA SDKs, edge devices and routers. The Industry 4.0 hobbyhorse is Codabix®, the universal Databridge for connecting shop floor and pot floor.

Traeger Industry Components has decades of accumulated know-how in communication technology in the industrial environment. We are well versed in bus systems, networks or point-to-point connections - whether Ethernet, wireless or serial (RS232, TTY, RS422, RS485). We are proficient in a wide range of industry protocols. - such as MPI, ProfiBus, RFC-1006, Modbus, 3964R, RK511, H1, RK512, KS, BUEP19, BUEP19E etc. - our expertise in industrial communication is comprehensive.

  • Quality Standards

Traeger GmbH aims to generate innovative products with practical and simple operation. We are happy to incorporate the requirements and wishes of our customers into the further development of our products. This is how tools are created that are oriented towards the real practical benefits of the user.

Modern team, planning and version management systems are used in development. Changes and further developments thus remain fully traceable and reproducible.

  • Service

Traeger GmbH attaches great importance to the satisfaction of its customers. Support at a high technical level is a matter of course for us. We offer service around the product, so also for: "How and where, in which environment, with which other machines are our products used." We determine the real cause of a problem. In this way, even "young" tools very quickly show a high level of product maturity.
At Traeger, the customer receives support by phone and email - from person to person.

  • Continuity

In the entire company history of Traeger, there are still spare parts, successor products or a repair service for every product.
The experience from "older" tools flows directly into the new developments. When developing our SDKs, we make sure that the interfaces remain backwards compatible.

Continuity is obligatory for us. We do not leave our customers out in the cold.

  • Product History

Dipl. Ing. (FH) Alois Träger (TIS) is the inventor, developer and designer of many tools that have established themselves as standard products in automation technology. A small excerpt from the product portfolio from the era of TIS and Traeger Industry Components:

    • PG-MUX - the second PG interface for every SIMATIC S5
    • TeleLink - PLC modem for remote maintenance, has become the standard for the S5 ("practically every old S5 hase\ knows the green box")
    • IBX terminal (L1)
    • TeleProf II - PLC remote maintenance for S5/S7, Allen Bradly, Bosch ..., with own MPI/Profibus interface developed on FPGA basis
    • Interface doubler (MUX) and PLC modems for many other PLC types like AEG, Allen Bradly, BOSCH, Mitsubishi, Klöckner Möller, GE-Fanuc etc...
    • Gateways for S5 and S7
    • S5-LAN - every S5 speaks S7-TCP/IP, S7-LAN (Alois Träger - the idea man) - from MPI/ProfiBus to Ethernet with RFC 1006
    • S7-Firewall - allows bit-precise access control to the S7 (helps against Stuxnet)
    • TeleRouter - VPN router for automation
    • ALF-UA - industrial WLAN router with easy configuration
    • Software drivers for various protocols for SIMATIC S5 (RK 511, 512, L1, H1), SIMATIC S7 (serial and Ethernet), RFC-1006, BOSCH, Mitsubishi, Klöckner Möller, Pilz etc. for use in all possible high-level languages (C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Delphi, VB6, PHP, JAVA, EXCEL, MatLAB, LabView)
    • many implementations of PLC protocols on embedded devices\n
    • Software tools - data logger (S7-FileLogger), S7-To-Excel, S7-Time-Server etc.
    • Industry 4.0 tools - OPC UA client/server SDKs, PLC OPC UA server, Codabix® - from the shop floor to the pot floor
    • many of the products were/are also produced and/or distributed under other names by companies in the automation industry under licence
